When selecting your app development team you must be very careful. You don’t want to choose a false company that will get your dreams of owning your own app to disappear.
So how can you know which team should you go with?

Choosing your team can get you under a lot of pressure – are you making the right decision? Will this team be able to carry on with your idea? Will it be a waste of money or will it be a success story?
No one holds an answer to these questions in advance, but there is something you can look for when picking your team.

History of the app development team

What is the history of this team you are looking at right now? You want to get to know the people you are about to invest money (and probably a lot of it) in.
A really good thing to look out for is the previous apps of the company. If the company itself has self-owned apps I think it can tell a lot about the company – it means that they are really passionate about the app development world, so passionate about it that they develop apps not only for customer (which can be a great source of income) but also for their self (which is not a great source of income as client development for most cases). Plus, while viewing their apps, you can see their quality of work.

• Make sure to check the graphics – is the graphics of the app good? is the feature graphics of the app store good? do they good commercials?
• Make sure to check the rating and reviews of the app – a good rating means good apps.
• Make sure to check the speed of the app – is it working as fast as you would like?
  These are just a few, but there are many more things you can check out.

Another important step you should make, regarding the company’s history, is talking to past clients. If the company doesn’t publish past clients on the website feel free to ask them about their previous clients and ways to contact them. If they refuse for some reason, something fishy might be going on!
Don’t be alarm if they don’t have past clients though, remember that every company started out with a “first customer”.

Meet The Development Team!

In the previous tip, I suggested reading about the company history, but hey, there is nothing like having a good face-to-face conversation. When meeting the development team you can learn a lot. You can tell by simple gestures rather the person standing in front of you is trustworthy or not. You can also ask simple and elegant questions to understand the characteristic of the person. For example, asking how was their day so far can teach you if they are the “early to rise” and be on-time kind of person or rather “snooze for the 10th time” type – either way, you can learn a lot.
