Droidcon TLV 2018
Every year the Andriod community hold a special event that is all about Android. Droidcon is an international event. This time I got lucky enough to participate in it.
History
The first Droidcon TLV was in 2014. I got the chance to take apart in it and it was amazing, so many people speaking your same language. They were all about Android and I have learned a lot. I got to meet with some of the “superstars” of the Android world and I have also been exposed to new Android technologies – it was around the time that wearable tech was kicking in so I got to use some of the cooelst glasses I have ever seen.
There were also some great sponsers to the event! such as Facebook, IBM, Wix, Intel, PayPal and more famous names!

2018
So as I said this year I was lucky enough to give a lecture in this great event. The event started at 8 in the morning. I remember looking up for the lecturers in 2014, so now that I got the chance to be a speaker I got so excited!
My Lecture
My lecture opened the event – what an hounr! I lectured about developments processes and the development journy. On the development processes part I’ve talked about the more professional aspect of the development and on the journy part I’ve talked about the more sentimental part of the development. My lecture was around 10 mintues long but it was so fun.

The Rest
The rest of the event was followed by great lectures that were held by great speakers! Each and any one of them eknowledeged me with some Android knowledge I did not know before – what fun! Some of the speaker were really famous in the Android world (They even held a lecture back in 2014 as well!) and some even came all the way from abroad (UK and US) to give their lectures – amazing!
Sponsers
In this year there were also great sponsers. Just to name a few: Wix, IBM and nexcar. They all had stand outside the lecturing halls. They told us about their companies (and even some of them gave a lecture) and gave all sort of freebiz – awesome. IBM also held two workshops. The workshops were about using IBMs cloud system – Watson. One of the workshop was about voice recognition and the other was about image analyzing.
To conclude
This event was one of my favorite events of the year! I do wish all Android developers could attend it. I myself can surely say I just cannot wait until next year for Droidcon 2019!
