#1. We Love Coding on the weekends, don’t we?
Most of us work 5 days a week – but is it really true? no! I bet most of you guys (or girls..), including me, take our job with us into our homes and work over the weekend. Why do we do that? Because of the “code not written”! The “code not written” is a concept that I thought during the weekend – why do I feel the need to work when I should be relaxing? That is because in my work I don’t always finish up different functions I wish to get over with so I take the job with into the weekend and finish it in my home, finish the code, that is not written.
So what do I do to keep myself off coding the entire weekend? I simply make a schedule – I find the best to program is during the “functional hours” – The functional hours can vary between each person. For some of us, the functional hours are during the morning while for some us the functional hours are during the late nights. For me the functional hours are during the mornings – I work only between 8 am to 10 am and that is all!
What about you? What are your functional hours?
#2. How to find your functional hours
As I mentioned before – each of has different function hours – so here are few tips on how to find yours:
1. Meals – Are you more concentrated after or before a meal? Try to work your way around so your work schedule will fit your dining schedule
2. Sleep – At what time are you going to bed? If you’re an early to rise kind of person then you should work during the morning while that aren’t many people around. If you’re an all-nighter kind of person then you try working during the evening
3. Breaks – We are all hard workers! Try to take as little breaks as possible. Don’t take too many breaks or you will lose your concentration in your work. Try to take 2 breaks at top, one long and one short
4. Coffee – A trick that always works for me is a cup of coffee. A cup of coffee in the morning will make the mornings the most functional part of my day – Try this tip and let me know how it goes in the comments!

It’s too bad we don’t get to see the phenomenon of “The Code Not Written” in our daily life. Image how better we could be if we had the dedication to take our “job” to with us any way we go – if the “job” is to work out we would work out much more and had a healthy body, if the “job” is to cook we would each much tastier meals and maybe even if the “job” is to be a better person – we would all be much better people!
So why is the phenomenon is not seen in our daily life? I guess there could be a few reasons. For one thing, for some of us, coding is much easier than doing anything else I have described above. Why exercise when you can just turn on the computer? Why put more effort into your food when you can type on the keyboard?
We rather code than do all of the other things because coding is much easier for us! But the reason coding is so easy for us is because we are so used to it – we coded our whole life and we code as much as we breathe – Coding is easy because we Practiced – But what if we would practice all of the other things? Maybe someday, hopefully, I’ll write a post about “The Food not eaten”
